Delta Air Lines changes it's baggage policy to now allow U.S. military personnel traveling on orders to check 1 additional bag at no charge. This change comes following news media reports that some units returning from Afghanistan were hit with massive extra baggage fees. Several soldiers posted a video on YouTube that criticized Delta for the additional charges, complaining that the returning soldiers were charged as much as $2,800 in baggage fees.
Delta's new revised baggage policy will now allow U.S. military travelers in first and business class to check up to 5 bags Free of charge instead of 4. Servicemen traveling in economy class may check up to 4 bags instead of 3.
