Wal-Mart which has been hurt by a long sales slump is ready to fight back. Wal-Mart announced it is bringing back thousands of products that were previously dumped from their stores. They will try to win the lowest-price battle with their rivals. Wal-Mart is rolling out a new slogan - "Low prices. Every day. On everything."
To add insult to injury, Wal-Mart is not only losing more shoppers to its competitors, especially chief rival Target but also it is losing the battle on prices of some groceries and household products.
Wal-Mart plans to check competitors' prices more frequently. The company will press its suppliers to lower their costs and will simplify its "ad match" policy.
From now on, if a customer finds a lower advertised price, Wal-Mart promises to match that price at the register in all stores without requiring shoppers to bring in a competitor's ad as proof - WOW.
