Career Fair at Coca Cola Park in the Lehigh Valley draws 3,000 people

    The Morning Call / careerbuilder Career Fair in the Lehigh Valley that was held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Coca Cola Park drew about 3,000 people.

    Companies at the job fair looking for applicants included Wegmans Food Markets, LifeQuest / LifeSpan, Gordon Food Service, Cedar Crest College, The Hartford, HCR ManorCare and the Morning Call.



    Other businesses attending the job fair included Staffmark, Primerica, Uline, Palram Americas, Bottom Dollar Food, Coordinated Health, T-Mobile, Lincoln Technical Institute, Nestle Waters North America, Health Network Laboratories and Automatic Data Processing (ADP). There were about 60 companies in all covering a wide range of businesses.

   The Lehigh Valley is struggling to recover from the recession and the 8.3 % employment rate reported in March by the state Dept. of Labor and Industry.
