Bowling BIG in '60s has collapsed as pastime sending jobs overseas except at ....

By the mid-60s the estimated number of bowling alleys across the United States were about 12,000. That was the industry's peak period. Current estimates put the number of bowling centers at less than half the peak number of 12,000.

With the slowdown in popularity big manufacturers like Brunswick Corp. moved most of their bowling equipment manufacturing overseas costing America jobs. One American company however, Ebonite International is keeping manufacturing stateside in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. You can do your part and save some American jobs by purchasing the Ebonite brand of balls and equipment and go bowling. You’ll have some good quality family-recreation and fun in the process.
