Evergreen Solar, which makes panels for solar power generation got $58 million in state subsidies and tax breaks. Evergreen solar later filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company had closed a plant in January laying off 300 employees. Evergreen Solar’s plan is to shed some debt, sell some assets and ramp up manufacturing capacity in China.
I thought the "Green Industry" was going to SAVE the American economy & jobs.
