Quakertown School District passed its 2011-2012 budget this week. The budget calls for the closing of Haycock Elementary school and cuts 11 teacher positions. The budget of $88.8 million will require a 1.36 % tax hike.
The new budget will also eliminate midday bus runs and calls for the redistricting of 6 elementary schools.
