If you reduce the brightness on your high-definition TV you can save on your electric bill. Many HDTV's are shipped from the manufacture with a screen brightness setting of - retail mode - which is an optimum picture setting for clarity in TV showrooms.
You can go to the TV's setup menu and look for the - home mode - or some other instruction on where to turn down the brightness of your set. This will reduce your electricity consumption and save you some money. Let's face it - every little bit helps these days!
