A Long Island school bus driver in a mini-bus carrying one teenage passenger stopped to rescue 3 police detectives from golf ball-size hail in a torrential rainstorm. It’s really nice to hear these Good Samaritan stories – fortifies our faith in our fellow man. Well, the bus driver was terminated from his job after he reported what had happened. The company fired him in part because he violated policy-prohibiting drivers from picking up unscheduled passengers.
How pathetic when a good deed costs someone their job.
