Philadelphia Mayor Nutter has tightened weekend curfew for center city. The city will be off-limits to minors after 9 p.m. on weekends. The early curfew will apply to anyone under 18 years of age in Center City and University City.
The Mayor also announced that 20 of the city's largest recreation centers would be open until 10 pm. on Friday and Saturday. The flash mob phenomenon has plagued Philadelphia for the last two summers. Teens can be fined up to $300 and parents can face fines of up to $500 after a child violates curfew for a second time.
