What does the U.S. Economy have in common with Las Vegas Weddings ?

Las Vegas Weddings and the U.S. Economy - what's the connection?

Las Vegas the "Quickie Wedding" capital of the world is falling on hard times just like the U.S. economy. Fewer couples are getting married in Las Vegas because fewer people are traveling there and fewer people are traveling there because our economy stinks.

There are approximately 90 wedding chapels in Nevada's Clark County. Issued marriage licenses are the lowest they have been in several years. At just $60 a marriage license, Clark County has lost about $2 million in annual fees from weddings since the peak in 2004. Lets hope the economy gets better so that we can have a lot more "quickie weddings".
