Chuck Bednarik attended Friday's Eagles 1st full-squad practice at Lehigh ...

It was good to see Hall-of-Famer Chuck Bednarik attending practice for the Philadelphia Eagles at Lehigh on Friday. Chuck who recently left St Luke's Hospital was a special guest of Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.

Some younger fans may not know that Chuck played both center on offense and linebacker on defense. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1949 through 1962. Chuck Bednarik was the first player drafted in the 1949 NFL Draft, by the Philadelphia Eagles. He was the last NFL player to play both ways full time and is one of the very best players to ever play the game. Chuck was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967.
