A recent report by Moody's predicts that movie theater attendance will continue to weaken over the next 5 years. The report attributes the weak attendance to unappealing movies and competition from Netflix. Each year seems to bring more alternatives to actually going to the movie theater. Netflix and Hulu are just two examples to alternate movie going.
Box-office revenue is down about 8 % and attendance is down nearly 10 % compared with a year ago, according to the report.
