Texas lawmakers have passed a bill that will allow Texans, and not the Federal government, to decide what kind of light bulbs to buy - Fluorescent bulbs or incandescent bulbs.
The Texas bill was sent to Gov. Rick Perry for consideration. It allows any incandescent light bulb manufactured in Texas to be sold in Texas. This bill is the states effort to repeal the 2007 energy independence act that starts phasing out some incandescent light bulbs next year.
