IronPigs want to run the downtown Allentown arena for the Phantoms ...

The IronPigs baseball team owners say they are the best choice to run the proposed Allentown arena for the Phantoms.

The Flyers' minor league hockey team, the Phantoms, shared the Spectrum in Philadelphia with the Flyers until 2008. The Spectrum is targeted for demolition in 2010. Flyers officials plan to move the team out of Philadelphia. Jim and Rob Brooks of the Brooks Group bought the Phantoms and announced plans to move the team to Allentown if a new arena could be built. The team has played the past 2 years in Glens Falls, New York.

Mayor Ed Pawlowski has turned the project over to the Brooks Group and that is how it stands for now.
