Critics want to silence Ronald McDonald - "real concern" or just an agenda ?

The "main beef" coming from the critics of McDonald's is that McDonald's markets it's product to children. They love to quote the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention statistic that 17% percent of children and adolescents are obese. This is a problem and everyone should be encouraged to get help to correct their individual problem with excess weight, lose the weight and live a healthier life style.

BUT, it is not McDonald's that caused the 17% obese statistic. How many kids & adolescents in America have eaten at McDonald's in their lifetime? Would you guess 60%, 70%, 80% or event 90%? How many people do you personally know that have eaten at McDonald's? Are they all obese - No.

Conclusion - If 17% are obese then 83% are not obese. And many of that 83% have eaten and continue to eat at McDonald's. Guess what happens if you eat more calories then you burn off. Answer - You gain weight. No magic here! "Calories In" vs. "Calories Out". So stop looking for someone else to blame like "Ronald McDonald" and look in the mirror. Or just maybe these critics have an agenda. You decide!
