Domino's Pizza is a story of a stagnant home market in the U.S. and a thriving global one. Domino's currently has over 4,000 stores outside of the United States in over 60 international markets, and still growing. With rising incomes overseas, rising international appetite for pizza, and a falling dollar the results for the non-U.S. market are excellent.
In Domino's most recent quarter, they reported that same-store sales in the U.S. fell 1.4% compared to the year before quarter. The international same store sales however grew 8.3% in the first quarter, marking it the 69th consecutive quarter of same-store sales growth for the company.
